It all started with me wanting to design my own X'mas cards this year with a frenchie theme and it morphed into a full blown website. The seed was planted here on this website, looking at movies and photos of Frenchies in their own widely different backyards, Dot & Mo wandering the heaths, Elsi taking in the Greek scenery. And so Eti in Manhattan is the theme of his website and the inspiration for the many graphic artworks on display. Enjoy.

It's a nice site. But you really can't post things like that here. Remember when you joined the site and you agreed to respect the site rules? Including the one that says no postings (or private messages) that advertise any products or services, whether dog related or not.

Advertisements: we do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to members here that advertise any products or services, whether dog related or not.

A link to a site you've designed to showcase your dog is fine. But when you're selling stuff on that same site, it is not.

I have removed the link from your profile too.

Since your website cannot be allowed on here, you should add some of those great pictures of Eti to your gallery.

Let me first say that I am happy to abide by the rules here. I am very grateful for this site, it’s a valuable knowledge resource for me and you have provided some awesome information a lot of which I have followed to excellent results. So I have no quarrel with what you have to do in the best interests of this community.
I do want however to communicate, since the link was removed and some members here will not be able to arrive at their own conclusion, for my own integrity’s sake, that the website is essentially a creative project, the intent being to create beautiful images inspired by my frenchie, and some written content that is a fun experiment in identity. My aspiration being more like say William Wegman or Amanda Jones, both of whom, like myself, have a shop on their website. I feel the need to say this, as the impression created by your comments is that I have a commercially driven enterprise. Its not that at all, its driven by the need the for self expression, the shop is an addendum, and I'm well rewarded by comments like “I love your artwork”..so thanks Martina and Laurie I appreciated your kind words.
I also have to say I felt comfortable posting the link because although the terms say no products it’s a little blur in practice, you often not only mention but also recommend products like Merricks in a recent thread. There was a thread about Christmas presents with links to a well known pet store. There are plenty of reccommendations for books and mentions of magazines. Are these not 'products' and greeting cards are? Maybe some clarification is needed here and this is not an excuse, just getting the facts straight, these rules were not in effect until recently and well after I became a member here.
So in conclusion, my apologies, no harm intended.

I think the difference is the other products and links that were mentioned are not being recommended or shared with any profit motive whatsoever, as the members who mention them are not affiliated with them in any way.
Not to say that you were sharing your site with ANY intention other than exactly what you mentioned... sharing your talent and the beautiful pictures of your dog.
Certainly I think your posting was innocent... the moderators just have to disallow all personal sites that sell things, regardless of the member's reasons for sharing them.
I think anyway...

Actually, I don't care whether the main purpose of the site is commercial or not. The rules for participating on this site are don't post links to sites like that, so don't post them.

Incidentally, the rule about not posting links to commercial sites have been here since the day Bulldogworld was started. People being annoyed by advertising and spam is one of the reasons the site was created in the first place. Any time the rules are updated - you need to decide whether you're going to respect them or not. If it's "not" then you need to go elsewhere.

Miss Heather: There is NO difference. If you are selling anything (products and services of any kind) on a website, you cannot under any circumstances post that link on this site. It is not a matter of degrees, and it is not debatable.
