I had the Honest Kitchen food recommended to me by my local natural/organic pet food store. It is a grain-free dehydrated mix that you add water to make an oatmeal-like consistently. Though it has meat in it, they encourage adding other raw ingredients. I was wondering if anyone is feeding this and how your dogs have responded. My pup Sulley loves the sample that was sent home with us and I'm considering switching. I have no idea how much of it I should be feeding.

Thanks for checking it out for me, I appreciate it. When I posted I didn't realize this brand was made locally and that likely no one had heard of it.

Ashley,
I have heard of it; just seems redundant..If you are going to fed raw, just feed raw..

People I know use it when they travel. But there are many excellent raw products available, why use this?Especially as the base? MAYBE as an additive.

As Devon said; there is an abundance of information on this site about raw feeding..IMO starting a pup on raw from the beginning is the best.

Thanks...I've been doing all this research on different foods and you're right, I probably should go right to raw. I know I need to educate myself more on the raw diet before I lauch into it, so I'll checkout the reading suggested in other posts. I guess I've been apprehensive about it and looking for alternatives because I'm vegan and raw flesh is, well, less than appealing to me. :) But it's not about what's appealing to me, but to my dog and what's most healthy for him.
