I read this tidbit this morning and just wanted to share...
Spend time with me, I am not designed to be alone.
Teach me your rules. Give me time to understand them.
Talk to me, I may not understand your words, but I understand your voice.
Don't be angry with me for long, and don't shut me away as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. But my life revolves around you.
Before you scold me for misbehaving, ask yourself if I'm getting enough exercise, enough walks. Am I spending enough time with the family?
Take care of me when I'm old. You too will grow old.
Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it" or "let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there.
Remember, I love you!
