Hi Everyone. Know I have not been around much lately, but have been really busy with some major changes in my life. As some of you may know, I am very involved with dogs and a few good dog breeders. One of my frenchie breeders is getting older and has recently had some major health problems develop. In any case she had to immediately find a placement for her french and english bulldogs. Luckily we were able to do so, but inm the process I ended up with her frenchie puppies which are 3.
So, I now have 6 frenchies. My question is this. Does anyone know of any good dog recipe sites for home cooked natural or raw foods. I would like to try switching them all to a raw or cooked diet, preferably cooked, like chicken and rice or so on. I would appreciate any info on this subject. I have not had much luck finding any. I did find one for boiled chicken and brown rice.
Thanks for any info..

Wow, 6 Frenchies, that must be 24/7 entertainment :D .
I am very much a novice on home cooking, but I'm sure Gmacleod would be able to give you excellent advice.
I feed Phoebe a high quality kibble mixed with minced beef in the morning, and in the afternoon I cook for her every day. I cook rice, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and sweet potato, along with either chicken, turkey or rabbit, and once a week I substitute sardines for the chicken. To this I also add some salmon oil and a chicken heart or two.
Raw would also be great, but I am not there yet. With such a big family to cook for, perhaps you could cook a big pot of rice, meat and veg once or twice a week.
Good luck with all those cute little Frenchies -how about a group photo?

Thanks for the info Franp.. I will check out the book..
The 3 puppies are littermates. One is a female and really small, so I named her Pixie, like a little fairy. She is a black brindle and really cute. The other 2 are male. One has a bad eye, but is doing better, since I got him home and am doctoring it. Not sure what happened. Vet thinks one of the others must have got a nail in it during play or something. He was in a pen with 5 other puppies ( Grrrrrr !! ) He is a really light brindle. Then the 3rd one is a male also. A fawn which looks just like Ollie Bubba. I named the 2 males Oscar and Odie to go with Ollie.
They haven't had the best of care with my friend being the hospital so much and unable to take care for them properly. A neighbor had put all the puppies ( 6 altogether ) in one small pen, unbeknownst to me, till I got a call from my friend at the hospital, and she asked if I could place her dogs, since she is not going to be able to return home. I then went and saw what was going on. ( Grrr !! ) She lives quite a ways from me so I had not been up there to see what was going on. The neighbor had taken the adult dogs and I guess didn't want the puppies, so just left them. The other 3 were english bulldog puppies 14 weeks old, twice the size of the frenchies. I managed to find good homes for them.
So, anyway, basically that is the story franp. I haven't had time to take any pics yet, but plan to soon, and will post them then.
