I bought Luna a bullystick the other day, and the guy at the store was like, "Those are pretty gross." and I was like, "Yah, they get all white and slimy."

He shudders. "It's a bull's seminal tract, you know."

I shudder. "Isn't that a...you know?"

"Yep."

Ponder that next time your dog is deep throating the bullystick. Or better yet, hand it to your husband and THEN tell him what it is...and run away laughing! (like I did).

Yes it's true... quote from one website I just googled: These chews are made from, well how should we say this, BULL penises. We'll wait for you to stop laughing. ... ... Done? These are not rawhide chews. These come fresh from USDA inspected meat processing facilities. Not rendered meat like many other bully sticks (including many of our competitors). Your dogs will love them and you can feel comfortable knowing your dog is enjoying the highest quality chew treat you can get. This is a natural product so size does vary. :D

Bullysticks are NOT rawhide..No rawhide is good..
I feel very comfortable giving Dari bullysticks and have been giving them to her since she was a pup..

Ahhh...bullysticks! That part that keeps on giving! These b-stick posts are a great source of entertainment. And, no, not in my house. Yes, I am a mean mom, Fran. ;)

Phoebe spends a lot of time finding new hiding places for her bullysticks, she doesn't really chew on them. She had a new hiding place a short while ago - on my husband's pillow :D . I haven't the heart to tell him what it really is!

I bought Bacchus his first bullystick today. I honestly had no idea what it was. I was reading this thread as my boyfriend walked in the door. Bacchus ran to him with his new toy. Boyfriend picked it up, and I couldn't stop laughing. When I finally was able to breath, I told him what it was. 30 minutes later he is still washing his hands :)
