hello. from what i have read in other posts, many people find that their dogs have less to no gas if they feed raw. i feed oscar only raw food and he is still pretty gassy. any suggestions? what could be causing this? i thought it was grains that made him gassy. i feed him nature's variety pre-made raw which doesn't have grains in it. anyone have this problem? or any ideas?

Perhaps try something with less fat? Which meats do you feed?
I don't do pre-made raw food, just the home made variety. So Henri's meals are usually one thing - like chicken thighs, or wings, or offal or muscle meat. Not a mix of them all. That means I notice quite well if there's anything in particular that causes him to be gassy. And there is - it's excessive amounts of fat for too many meals in a row. In the case of chicken, that means skin (which is quite fatty) - so I remove most of it. Likewise, lamb for too many meals in a row might have similar effects - it's quite a fatty meat.
And lastly, vegetables. Some vegetables cause gas - especially things like brocolli and cabbage. So it's worth examining what vegetables are in the food you feed - and perhaps cutting out the mixes that have vegetables in them for a while and adding your own pureed vegetables instead. That way, you can add one vegetable at a time to see whether any of them have a nasty gas side effect ;)

Piggy is on BRAVO! and is nowhere near as gassy as he was on dry kibble, but for the first 6 weeks or so after the transition he was. It tapered off, and now it's not only less often, but also much less offensive (to be quite frank!) I put him on the straight chicken BRAVO! at first to ease the transition, since that was the main ingredient of his dry food. Maybe try a simple formula?

hmmm... I would agree with Judy that you need to feed one source at a time and keep track of the stinkies to find the culprit....
Stella had, I swear, THE WORST GAS EVER when she was eating kibble.
I'd almost pass out when she "poofed"
now she's eating the nature's variety (lamb, chicken, turkey, venison, beef... she likes variety ;) ) and we have NO gas at all.... she smells like roses
I guess every dog-person is different.
