O.k., this flatulence thing has reached epidemic proportions. Mojo's gas is so bad that I think the interior of my SUV is permanently polluted. I can't get rid of the odor! I'll be reclining in my Lazy-Boy in the evenings holding Mojo and he will light the room up at least every 20-30 minutes. Everyone in the room will vacate...
I am feeding him Chicken Soup Puppy currently. I switched him from Canidae because he wouldn't eat it. I'm wondering if this food simply isn't agreeing with him. He also has an angry red rash on his skin where his hind legs join his body near his belly. I've never had a dog with this type of skin/bowel sensitivity; but then, this is my first Frenchie. Any suggestions?

I heard yogurt helps, give it a try. My Chloe loves a spoon full of yougurt in her food.

Feed raw; gas is virtually non existent... As for the rash; your dog may be allergic to something in the food..

Not all Frenchies have this problem... and IMO it's never "natural" or OK. Any dog, whatever the breed, should not have to suffer from constant gas problems.
Elsi has been gas free before I started feeding raw as well as after... But yes, definitely you could consider switching to raw, since that has helped many dogs with sensitive tummies. :)

Did he have the same problem on Canidae? I note that the ingredients in Chicken Soup and Canidae are actually very very similar (not that that rules out the possibility of an allergy to one food and not the other).
I'd suggest either a switch to a natural raw diet, or else a simple food that's quite different in make up to the CS. Something lamb based might be better - eg. California Natural lamb, or Wellness Super5 Lamb.

I appreciate all of the feedback. When I switched my weimie to Innova Evo, his occasional gas went away completely. I'm not comfortable switching Mojo to Evo simply because he is a puppy and Evo is really not forumulated for puppies. I'm going to seriously consider raw. I live in Northern CA, Sacramento area; any pre-made raw formulas that I should be looking for?

I have been feeding my dogs Oma's Pride raw for the last two months...mostly chicken/bone and turkey/bone. I also give them some veggies (ie. sweet potato, green beans), yogurt, apples...
However, the gas situation in our house has NOT reduced drastically.
I must be doing something wrong here. Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback. The beans/potatoes are not a daily thing, but I'll leave them out for a while and see what happens. I'm also going to check out the Prozyme.
Thanks again...
