I have been giving Scout RAW for her evening meal. Her meals are about 10 hours apart and from what I have read, that seems like an adequate time for digestion of the kibble before the raw goes in. She is 8 mos old, weighs about 22 lbs. We give her about 1/3-1/2 c ultramix kibble with a TB of merrick canned in the morning, and at night I have been giving her a variety ( a chicken drumstick or a piece of pork spare rib or beef short rib, lamb kidney) I want to make sure I am not over feeding. I figure I give her about 3-5 oz. (should I get a scale?) of raw per day. Is this enough/too much? I know it will depend on if she gains weight, etc., but since she is still growing I am not sure how to judge that. She absolutely loves the raw (she loves anything edible, or inedible for that matter) and will eat the chicken bone. On a pork shoulder piece, the bone seems small and somewhat sharp so I didn't let her eat it. I am assuming that is not a bone she should eat... feedback please!! thanks Lynne

Hi Lynne,

I feed Molly Bravo Raw Diet and they have a feeding calculator on their website. According to this, Scout, who is a growing puppy at 22 lbs, should have 7.04 ounces per meal.

Hope this helps,
Paula
