I started my frenchie on the raw diet from animalfoods.com (all beef) to rule out food allergies. His skin started to clear up but it's still not 100%. He still has what they used to call bacterial skin infections/ allergies around the inner of his hind legs. He's been on this diet for almost 2 weeks now. Should I give it more time? Also, are there any other companies that make chicken only raw diets? Please help. I'm new to the forum.

Hi...
I feed George Bravo RAW and he is doing great, although no real allergies to speak of. He came to me on kibble, I changed shortly after.
I buy Bravo chicken in 6 2lb rolls at a time. I let it thaw in the fridge for about 2 hours and then cut patties into the desired weight and bag individually. The roll is still pretty frozen, it's not fun...but it isn't that bad. This usually gives me 2-3 weeks of twice dailey feeding. For me, it's cost effective. I stick to chicken or turkey blends. I fed George Primal Duck last week, he didn't really care for it... I also add a little supplement that contains Prozyme.

If his skin problems have started to clear up, then that's a good indication that the change in diet is a positive move. So don't give up because it's not 100% cured after only two weeks. It takes time to get toxins out of the body ;)
Healthy diet will certainly help - as will zero grains if it was yeast infections he was suffering from. A probiotic could also be a good thing to add. Natural yoghurt (the sort with no sugar, and with good bacteria acidophilous, bifidous etc) would also be very helpful. Just a tablespoon a day is plenty (either with food, or as a treat). Actually, for yeast infections, the yoghurt can even be applied topically - and many people treat their own yeast infections that way ;)
