Eating off the floor

Hello,

I have a female pied French Bulldog that I adopted when she was 4 years old from a breeder/show person. One thing I can not understand....why doesn't she like eating out of her food bowl? I have tried metal, ceramic and plastic even at different heights. I have tried taking off her collar thinking that her tag was hitting the bowl and scaring her? When I put her food on the floor she eats it with no problem? Is this a way that breeders feed thier dogs? :eek:

Maybe the shape of the bowl is wrong.

Dari doesnot like to stick her face into a deep bowl. So I got her a large , shallow , metal bowl. Kind of like a flat soup bowl.does that make sense..

She can push the food around.And her face is not IN the bowl..

(no breeder I know feeds the dog on the floor).
