I was wondering how do people in your country react when they see your frenchie. in my country there are not so many of them.
usually comments are that they are mixed up with some other breed
and once when i was walking bono an old couple was walking behind me and i could hear them saying: look at his tail, it must really hurt when they cut it off
but i don't blame them

We Frenchie owners have all grown used to interesting and sometimes silly comments about our dogs. Here in the US (California) they are frequently confused with Bostons, Boxers, Pit Bulls, etc. Frenchies seem to more common in the Netherlands where Roosje lives but even Roosje hears funny things like.."is that a rabbit?". Frenchies are not seen a lot here where I live and mostly people are fascinated by my two and usually just ask what they are. I have also had people inquiring about what happened to their tail. My husband and I are never insulted by their ignorance but just laugh and explain what they are. :p
I enjoy having a breed that is so very different from the rest and I am a very proud owner of this special breed. appicon

I have never ever had a bad remark towards Tirsa. Ok, some thought she was a pitbull, but hey, not everybody knows as much about dogs as we do. As Roosje said, most people smile back at Tirsa and when I walk through our street and neighbours are there they all say she is the best behaved and sweetest dog in the street.

Also Tirsa is very active and can run very fast. One of her best friends is a Jack Russell and Tirsa is much much much faster than Rakkertje!

I wouldn't want to have any other dog then a Frenchie and I do hope that I will always have such a happy dog as Tirsa! She really changed my life!

We don't have many other Frenchie's around where I live either. Madison is always getting confused with either a Boston or a Pug. But mostly he just makes people smile & most people have questions about him. I would be rich if I had a dime for every time I have heard "What kind of dog is that? I want one just like him." appicon
