Louie is very happy and always eager to love everyone- but I would really love to get him to sit for attention, he does not get it!! As you all know- stubborn is his- and all frenchies- middle name. I know he is excited but does anyone have any good ideas for keeping him OFF people-and other dogs! Thanks!!!

Brooke,
How do you come up with this stuff? You should write a book...Helpful Hints for Frenchie Owners.

Does turkey work as well?

 Seriously Brooke, you should write a book! I'm so curious to know... what do you do for living...? Copywriting?

To louie's mom: My two behave just awful when we have people coming over... never mind Elsi jumping a bit (she's so small after all...), but to get your teeth knocked out by an overly eager Amstaff...

Seriously speaking, this is that one thing I haven't been able to teach them, although otherwise they are pretty well behaved bullies. Unfortunately you need to get your guests obey first. Training dogs is so much easier than training people... If you get people to completely ignore him for as long as he's misbehaving, and only give him attention (calmly) when he's sitting down, then you start getting somewhere. Once again, ignore his bad behavior, reward him when he's being good. (Here you could also use that chicken, if you like) Just try not to let people get him overly exited. (I know, easier said than done... I let people get away with doing just that every single day - I just cannot make myself to be the one who spoils all the fun these people and my jumping dogs seem to be having... )

Thanks for your ideas! I think the solution does start with me! It is had to make them behave when they are having all that FUN!!
