I have been on the board for only a couple weeks and have read almost everything ever posted related to feeding...
I had been thinking (and thinking and thinking...) about starting my "kids" on a raw diet for a while now. Tonight as I was filling their food bowls, with their hard, dry kibble, I REALLY took a good look at that stuff and thought..."yuck"!!!
I just ordered the book "Bravo! Beginnings" and have checked online for Bravo retailers in my area. I'm going to hit the bookstore tomorrow and see if I can find some good doggy nutrition books to read while I'm on vacation next week and I plan to get started the following week. I'll probably do a mixture of both at the beginning until I figure out what I'm doing and...to use up the expensive food I just ordered. I used the food calculator on the Bravo website to get a rough idea of how much food I would need to buy and the approx. cost. It actually looks like it will cost LESS than what I'm buying now! Most important, I'm sure it will be healthier (tastier too!).
Thanks to this board for all the great information and for inspiring me to stop thinking and get moving! :)
