Hi, all.
As Solo is now a year old, I'd like to prepare for any behavioral issues that may arise. Friends of mine with FB's have told me that their dogs went through the "terrible twos" at about 1 1/2 years old. What kinds of behavior should I be on the lookout for? I've heard some go through a skittish phase, some become more aggressive...?
I want to be able to nip any unwanted behaviors in the bud.

We went through the terrible 2's with our English Bulldog.

He was "Hell on wheels" (or paws)...

Mostly trying to assert his dominance evilicon over my husband and I (which he almost did). By 3 he had really chilled out.

For us, this stage was more challenging than "puppydom." It was all about a battle of wills.

The best advice I have ?? Count backwards from 10 ....slowly!
Good Luck

Solo dog....for some reason I thought Solo was a boy but I see from your "tummy rub" picture that Solo is a girl. Didn't have any "terrible two" issues with Abby at all. She was never much of a chewer throughout her puppy life, thank goodness. She was raised by two senior dogs...a very old male St Poodle and a senior female Boston Terrior. She loved them both and held them in high regard. Had more issues with my male Frenchie Ferris....but he had that "male" thing going on with my Standard for awhile. I think you will find life much the same with Solo during the next year. ;)

Thank you, everyone!
Carolyn, I did hear from my friends, who all own male French Bulldogs, about the terrible twos! So, perhaps my well-adjusted little girl will be just fine! We'll see...
