Both are males, 6 weeks old...There both are adorable... I'm leaning towards the Brindle and Angel likes the cream one. My only problem is the cream is very tiny compared to the Brindle. Were getting another Frenchie so Bella Rosa has a playmate. Same Mom as Bella different Dad.

I have a soft spot for brindle males. I looked at the pictures and I think that I would go with the brindle. He has a nice shaped head. Either way, the are both cute!!!!

The "creme" actually looks more like a honey pied to me.The brindle IMO is a better looking dog.Better shaped head and muzzle. The ear set is better as well. The brindle seems, from the picture to have better bone .
I am more partial to brindle than the lighter colors too.

The breeder just separated the pups from there mom. Seems early to me but that's how She does it. I have a question: If she just separated them from there Mom at 6 weeks why would it matter when I get them?
Thanks,
John

I agree with fran - both that the creme looks more like honey pied, and also that the brindle is a better looking dog...
that said, if you are not planning on showing this dog one day and are not too worried about that sort of thing, than I'm sure you will just love your new baby no matter which you choose.
I have a brindle pied and I long for a playmate for her. If we were to get another I think I would go brindle (if I had a choice)...
I just love those frenchie pups.... I would probably try to take them both!

Puppies need to learn how to be puppies and to mature. This is the time (at 6 weeks ) that they START to do this.
Pack order and social skills are learned now.Bite inhibition and relating to other dogs comes at this time. Learning NOT to be afraid of things happens in the weeks to come.
Many puppies are not even weaned at 6 weeks. And they don't even start thier shots this early.
No, this is WAY too early to get a pup..The breeder that I got Dari from ,lets the mother wean the pups on her own.Sometimes the pups are nursing as late as 10 weeks..
Thier pack order and social skills are fully developed.
Sorry, but I do not believe that this is a reputable breeder if you are getting a pup this young.

I, too, agree with Fran. Brindle has better structure. But creme/honey-pied looks like he might be smaller - easier to cuddle???
But personally, I think personality is the most important thing. Have you done temperament testing?

I agree that the brindle looks better by standard...bigger boned and has more of the "bully" look than the creme. But I am also very partial to the brindles. Where I live...I cannot imagine keeping a creme dog looking clean for long. Also agree that temperment is something to be considered. You will love the one you bring home!! appicon

For your thoughts and opinions. We will see the Pups in a couple of weeks and check out how there coming along...then make a final decision.
Thanks,

That sounds like a good idea...they will probably change some anyway. That being said, I am partial to the cream one - cute as a button :)

Those are the cutest photos. Do you take your own photos of Bella? The one in the bathtub is priceless. Truth is if you are not going to show, go for temperment. Do you know good ways to test for temperment? Also, consider the personality of Bella, what kind of dog would she be most comfortable with. ;)

My Fiancée Angel is a photographer ....one of those lucky people that Love's what She does and gets paid for it!
I'm really not sure how too test for temperment....please enlighten me. Since this pup has the same Mom as Bella and Bella has the sweetest temperment around....I'm not too worried, should I be?
Thanks,
John
P.S. The photos of the pups were taken by me on my cheapie camera, Angel took all the photos of Bella

What beautiful pictures of Bella! I love all the different expressions, especially the tilted head, "you talking to me?" look.
Good luck choosing your new puppy. There are both so cute! I'm partial to the brindle (love those big ears!), but would be happy to have either one!

I've got a great idea, get them both, then decide who fits in best and send me the other. LOL
I like the cream or honey boy. Cute as could be

First, re:"Get both", LOL, I was thinking that when I first started reading this thread but wasn't going to say it. There are some days I wish we had two and some days when one is plenty.
I agree with the majority, the brindle is technically better, but the cream one is a beautiful color. I personally prefer lighter Frenchies but this brindle has a beautiful face.
For me, I prefer small ones. Our Tank, aka Gas Tank, is a small red male, 7.7 lbs at 15 weeks. He is just so little and cuddlely you just love to hold him and spoil him. When you lay on the sofa he can drape himself up on your shoulder and sleep to his hearts content right next to your head.
Actually you've got it real good, either way you'll win.
Good luck.
(Time to walk the Tank.)

How on earth will your choose is right!
Is taking both an option?
I really like the honey coloured one but I'd do as Borgan and others have suggested ... let their personalities be the deciding factor ... you may be surprised in the end!
Good luck ...

Have you made your mind up yet? I have a brindle pied and he can get quite dirty, but what's a bit of dirt compared to cuddles and love. If your not going to show, then I would go with the cream pied. He is lovely. I find that even though I have a brindle pied there are not as many other colours in the UK. Every one I have met is either Brindle, brindle pied Black & white or red. (no creams)
May be I am just jealous, it maybe that it's not a colour breeders encorage in the UK. (I still say get both!) :D
